Shukr — Family Majlis

Make the family exist, then bring the household in. The weekly sitting comes after — nothing works until everyone is on the same page.

Family Majlis

Your family

Make it once. Everyone in the house sits in the same place every Friday.

Your families

A family is private to the people in it. Nothing said in the Majlis leaves this circle — not to your friends, not to the rest of Shukr.

For the ones not on Shukr yet. An admin still lets them in.
A family always keeps at least one admin. The last one cannot step down until someone else is promoted.

What the family said
A memory belongs to the family, not to whoever posted it. Anyone in the circle can add what they remember of the same day.

Drag to move
In our duʿāʾ
A count, never a scoreboard. Nobody is told who sent a duʿāʾ, and nobody is told who did not.
A duʿāʾ sent hidden is blurred for everyone else. The family is only ever told how many came.
Hidden — only you will be able to read it
Family calendar
A haul comes back every year on its own. Anyone in the family can add a day; only whoever added it, or an admin, can change or remove it.
Musyawarah
You see how the family voted only after you have voted yourself. When it is decided, it lands in Friday’s plan with an owner.

Where do you stand?

Talking it over

Patungan
This is a record, not a wallet. No money moves through Shukr — one person holds the pot, and everyone can see what went in and what is still short.

One photo of all of you. It can wait — the family works without it.

What the family is called
Whatever you already say out loud — “the Khans”, “home”, “Nani’s house”. Everyone you invite sees this name.
You are the…
Only so the Majlis knows whose turn is whose. It is never used to decide who may speak.

The code they sent you
Whoever made the family can find this on its People screen.
A code is a request, not a key. An admin of that family still has to let you in.

What is this?

Family Majlis is a weekly twenty-minute family meeting — six fixed steps, rotating roles, everyone heard. This file is only its first mile: making the family exist and getting the household into it. No meeting is run here.

A family is started in one of two ways: you create it — a name, a photograph, and who you are in it — or you join one somebody already made, with the code they sent you.

Whoever creates it is the first admin. Admins invite people, edit the family and promote other admins; a family can hold as many admins as it needs, and never fewer than one.
